WordCamp San Antonio and WordCamp Philly!

Yeah Yeah, I know…..I haven’t blogged in a while…but I have news! I will be speaking at two WordCamps (thus far)!

First, I am the keynote speaker for WordCamp San Antonio. I am honored to have the opportunity to speak at this event. It was a ton of fun last year, and I strongly recommend checking it out. The venue is awesome, and the people were amazing.

San Antonio was a town I used to live in during my High School days. My memories from back then are a mixed bag, but I had the opportunity to spend more time in San Antonio for the past two years. The city has certainly changed!

It is an amazing city, with a lot of great food (TACOS!), very friendly people, and a lot of great things to do. WordCamp San Antonio happens on September 30th, and October 1st.

I am proud to note that several members from Pressable are participating with the organization of this event. The team has a strong sense of responsibility to the WordPress Community, and we feel we have the responsibility in giving back by spending their free time organizing this great event.

Second, I will be a speaker at WordCamp Philly! I have always loved WordCamp-ing in Philly. WordCamp US happened there for the past two years, and I went to the local WordCamp Philly the year before that. Some of my favorite people in the world live in Philly, and they always participate in the local WordCamp, so I can’t wait to see them. The Philly WordCamp speaker lineup is very impressive, and I suspect this event will be a “must-see” for those in the area. It will be on October 28th and 29th. I highly recommend checking WordCamp Philly out.

WordCamp San Antonio Speaker Panel

I was a part of the speaker panel at the end of WordCamp San Antonio, which was pretty cool! There’s a lot of really amazing WordPress folks in San Antonio and it was cool to share the stage with these fine folks. I don’t talk a whole lot but I share the stage with my fellow colleagues Zach and Claudia from Pressable, as well as notable speakers. It was a lot of fun!

Video comes from WordPress.tv which has a ton of great WordCamp talks. I highly recommend it for folks learning WordPress.

Last #BurritoFriday of 2016

Today is the last Burrito Friday of 2016. In my opinion, this is one of the most important burrito days of the year. Make it a good one!

If you haven’t already seen my instagram account, you know that I love food, especially Mexican food. I post food pictures all the time. If you are into that sort of thing, please follow me.

Today I plan to go to one of my favorite burrito places and eat a cow tounge burrito. It’s going to be amazing. It isn’t a Mission Burrito, but I am far away from San Francisco.

FYI if you need burrito receipes, I recommend checking this “thedailymeal.com” article on the best burrito recipes. The mission burrito recipe on that article is pretty solid.

I am soooo dot blog now

You may notice that I have a new primary domain, squirex2.blog ! Isn’t it awesome?! I guess I should blog more.
